4. Abstract Views:

Physical views present gene expression values according to cell position. These views are therefore very useful for determining and comparing spatial gene expression patterns. In contrast, our Abstract Views largely ignore physical location and instead concentrate on visualization and analysis of gene expression values itself. All abstract views are shown in tabs in the right part of the main window. PointCloudXplore currently supports the following three abstract views:

4.1. Cell MagnifierThe Cell Magnifier shows all expression values within a user defined cell as bar graph. The selected cell can then also be used to execute seed cell selection. For an explanation and a description of how to use see Cell Magnifier.

4.2. Scatterplots: PointCloudXplore supports 2D and 3D scatterplots that allow comparison of the relative expression levels of two to three genes to be compared for all cells in the embryo at once. For an explanation and a description of how to use see Scatterplots.
